This 10-day educational tour introduces international students to China through Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai. The program combines cultural learning, modern urban studies, and Islamic heritage visits, while ensuring halal meals and Muslim-friendly services throughout the journey.
Detailed Itinerary
After arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our local guide, who will assist with luggage handling, airport procedures, and private transfer to your hotel. After check-in, you will have time to rest and recover from your flight.
In the evening, we'll arrange a short orientation session introducing China’s geography, cultural diversity, and essential travel etiquette. This session helps students quickly adapt to the local environment and feel comfortable for the upcoming journey.
Dinner will be arranged at a certified halal restaurant operated by the local Hui Muslim community, with full coordination from our on-ground team to ensure smooth service.
Optional activities include a short evening drive passing Chang'an Avenue or the Olympic Green area, offering a first impression of Beijing’s modern cityscape.
Today we'll focus on visiting the historical heart of Beijing, where we introduce the city’s role as China’s imperial capital. You will explore areas around the Forbidden City surroundings, where the guide will explain how ancient palace systems influenced governance, architecture, and urban planning in China. Then we will visit Tiananmen Square, where your guide will provide historical and cultural context to help you understand its national significance.
In the afternoon, we will continue to explore hutongs, where students will experience the city’s historic residential neighborhoods. You can take a relaxed bicycle ride through narrow alleyways, passing courtyard homes, small local shops, and everyday community life. This experience offers a closer look at how traditional Beijing lifestyle has been preserved within the modern city.
In the evening, we return to your hotel after dinner at a trusted halal restaurant serving Hui-style Chinese cuisine. The local team will assist with meal coordination and pacing throughout the day to ensure a comfortable experience.
After breakfast, you will visit Niujie Mosque, the oldest and most important mosque in Beijing. Students will learn about the long history of Islam in China, dating back over a thousand years, and how the Hui Muslim community developed within Chinese society. Your guide will explain the unique architectural fusion of Islamic and Chinese design styles and share stories of daily religious life in the surrounding community.
Then, we will walk through the Niujie Muslim neighborhood, where halal food culture, traditional shops, and local daily life create a living example of cultural integration. This area is one of the best places in Beijing to observe authentic Muslim life in China.
In the evening, dinner will be arranged at a well-established halal restaurant in the Niujie area, known for authentic Hui cuisine and reliable certification.
After breakfast, you will transfer to the railway station for a high-speed train journey from Beijing to Chengdu. During the journey, your guide will explain how China’s modern railway system connects different regions and supports national development. This journey also allows students to observe the gradual change in landscape from northern plains to southwestern mountains.
Upon arrival in Chengdu, our local team will meet you at the station and assist with hotel check-in and luggage transfer. You will receive a short introduction to Sichuan culture, including language differences, lifestyle, and food culture.
In the evening, we will arrange a gentle walk around the hotel area, where your guide will introduce nearby halal restaurants and essential facilities.
After breakfast, you will visit Tianfu Square, the symbolic center of Chengdu’s modern city layout, where your guide will explain how urban planning supports economic growth and public life. We will also explore Jinjiang River green corridors, a well-designed urban landscape that reflects Chengdu’s focus on environmental sustainability.
Then, we will continue to Jinli Ancient Street, where traditional Sichuan architecture, handicrafts, and cultural performances create an immersive historical atmosphere. This area helps students understand how history and tourism coexist in modern China.
In the evening, dinner will be arranged at a halal restaurant offering Sichuan-style cuisine adapted for Muslim dietary needs, with options for mild spice levels.
After breakfast, you will visit Huangcheng Mosque, an important center of Islamic life in Chengdu. You'll learn about the history of Islam in Sichuan and how Hui Muslim communities have preserved their traditions over centuries. Your guide will explain mosque architecture and its role in local community life.
Then, we will explore nearby halal food streets, where Lanzhou noodles, grilled lamb, and Northwest Chinese Muslim cuisine are widely available. This provides a practical understanding of halal food culture in inland China.
In the afternoon, we may arrange optional cultural exchange activities with local students or visit the Sichuan Museum to gain broader historical context about the region.
Optional activities include tea house visits in traditional Chengdu neighborhoods.
In the morning, we'll visit People’s Park, where you can observe Chengdu’s famous tea house culture and relaxed lifestyle. Your guide will explain how public parks function as social spaces in Chinese cities. Then, we will continue to Kuanzhai Alley, a restored historical district that blends traditional architecture with modern cultural commerce.
In the afternoon, optional activities may include visits to museums, panda-related experiences, or additional cultural streets depending on group interest. The focus is on understanding daily life patterns and social culture in Chengdu.
After breakfast, you will take a high-speed train or flight to Shanghai. During the journey, your guide will explain the shift from inland China to the country’s most international metropolis. Upon arrival, our local Shanghai team will assist with hotel check-in and provide a city introduction.
After breakfast, you will visit the Bund, where your guide will explain Shanghai’s development as a global trading port.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, where students can learn how large-scale cities are designed and managed. We will also explore Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street to observe commercial culture and international urban lifestyle.
In the evening, dinner will be arranged at a halal restaurant offering both Chinese and international halal options.
After breakfast, you will visit Xiaotaoyuan Mosque, one of the most important Islamic centers in Shanghai. You'll learn how Muslim communities continue practicing their faith in a highly modern and international city environment.
In the afternoon or evening, our ground team will assist with airport transfer, luggage handling, and departure procedures. Halal meals will be arranged according to flight schedules to ensure a smooth final experience.
