Depending on arrival time, visit the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar, one of Urumqi's most famous cultural markets. Explore local handicrafts, dried fruits, spices, traditional textiles, and regional specialties while experiencing the diverse atmosphere of Xinjiang.
Enjoy a halal welcome dinner featuring Xinjiang cuisine, including grilled lamb, naan, handmade noodles, and local dishes.
After breakfast, begin your private journey from Urumqi to Altay, enjoying a scenic drive through northern Xinjiang's changing landscapes, with rest stops along the way.
As you approach the Altai Mountains, enjoy views of wide grasslands, valleys, rivers, and traditional pastoral scenery. Upon arrival in Altay, enjoy free time to explore local neighborhoods and markets at your own pace, discovering Kazakh culture, regional handicrafts, and everyday life.
The evening offers time to relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere, followed by a halal dinner featuring local Xinjiang cuisine.
After breakfast, drive from Altay to Kanas, one of Northern Xinjiang's most spectacular natural destinations.
Located deep in the Altai Mountains, Kanas is famous for its crystal-clear alpine lake, dense forests, snow-covered peaks, and diverse natural landscapes. The region has long been home to Kazakh and Tuva communities, whose traditional lifestyles developed alongside the mountain environment.
Visit Kanas Lake, the highlight of the area and one of China's most beautiful mountain lakes. Surrounded by forests and mountains, the lake changes colors depending on sunlight, weather conditions, and seasons, creating unforgettable views throughout the year.
Enjoy scenic viewpoints and a relaxing walk through the surrounding natural landscapes before returning to your accommodation.
Enjoy halal meals arranged according to group preferences.
After breakfast, continue to Hemu Village, one of the most picturesque villages in Northern Xinjiang.
Located in a peaceful valley surrounded by forests and mountains, Hemu is famous for its traditional wooden houses, riverside scenery, and unique Kazakh and Tuva cultural heritage. The village preserves a slower pace of life where traditional architecture, local customs, and the surrounding natural environment remain closely connected.
Explore Hemu Village by walking through its wooden houses, village paths, and scenic viewpoints. Enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, observe local lifestyles, and experience the atmosphere of a traditional Altai mountain community.
- Optional activities include sunrise photography, short nature walks, and exploring local handicraft shops.
Enjoy halal-friendly dining arrangements during your stay.
After breakfast, leave the Altai Mountains and travel toward Karamay, passing through the changing landscapes of northern Xinjiang.
Stop in Burqin, a charming riverside town known as the gateway to Kanas. Explore the local streets and markets, where visitors can find regional products, handicrafts, and Xinjiang specialties.
Continue to World Devil City (Ghost City) near Karamay, a unique geological landscape shaped by millions of years of wind erosion. The dramatic rock formations resemble ancient castles and towers, creating a mysterious desert environment that reflects Xinjiang's diverse natural scenery.
Enjoy a halal dinner in Karamay and rest at the hotel.
After breakfast, travel southwest toward Sayram Lake, passing through the vast landscapes of western Xinjiang.
Known as the "last tear of the Atlantic," Sayram Lake is the largest alpine lake in Xinjiang and one of the region’s most iconic natural attractions. Located beside the Tianshan Mountains, the lake is surrounded by snow-covered peaks, open grasslands, and colorful wildflowers during the warmer months.
Drive around the lake and enjoy several scenic viewpoints overlooking the blue waters, mountain reflections, and surrounding pastoral landscapes. The area also provides opportunities to observe traditional Kazakh pastoral culture and the relationship between local communities and the grasslands.
Enjoy halal dinner near Sayram Lake.
After breakfast, continue to Yining, the cultural center of the Ili Valley and one of western Xinjiang's most important cities.
Visit Guozigou Valley, a spectacular mountain pass connecting Sayram Lake with the Ili Valley. Surrounded by mountains, forests, and valleys, the area offers one of Xinjiang's most impressive scenic routes.
Continue to Kazanqi Folk Tourism Area, a historic neighborhood known for its colorful traditional houses, handicrafts, local markets, and multicultural community life. Walking through the streets provides insight into everyday life and the cultural diversity of the Ili Valley.
Take an evening flight from Yining to Urumqi and stay overnight near the airport.
After breakfast, enjoy free time in Urumqi depending on your departure schedule.
Take a relaxed walk around the city, visit local shops, or purchase Xinjiang specialties such as dried fruits, nuts, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs.
