Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet and the gateway to the Tibetan Plateau.
Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Due to Lhasa's high altitude, the rest of the day is reserved for rest and gradual adaptation to the plateau environment.
Depending on your arrival time, take a relaxed walk around the city's local streets, experience the unique atmosphere of this highland city, and observe the combination of traditional neighborhoods and modern Tibetan life.
In the evening, enjoy a halal welcome dinner and prepare for the upcoming Himalayan journey.
After breakfast, drive north from Lhasa to Namtso Lake, one of the most spectacular natural landscapes on the Tibetan Plateau. The journey passes through vast grasslands, high mountain valleys, and open plateau scenery, offering a first glimpse of Tibet's dramatic natural environment. Located at over 4,700 meters above sea level, Namtso Lake is surrounded by snow-covered mountains and offers breathtaking views of turquoise waters, distant peaks, and endless highland landscapes.
Spend time enjoying the peaceful scenery, taking photographs, and experiencing the beauty of one of Tibet's most famous alpine lakes. After the visit, return to Lhasa in the evening for rest.
After breakfast, depart Lhasa and travel toward Shigatse through one of Tibet's most scenic routes.
Along the way, visit Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet's most iconic alpine lakes, where deep blue waters stretch between snow-covered mountains and create a stunning highland landscape.
Continue through the mountain passes of southern Tibet and enjoy views of remote valleys, grasslands, and dramatic mountain scenery. The journey continues to Karo La Glacier, one of the most accessible glaciers in Tibet, where visitors can admire the impressive snow-covered peaks and glacier landscape from close range.
Continue to Manla Reservoir, a peaceful mountain lake surrounded by mountains and open valleys, offering excellent opportunities for photography and relaxation.
Arrive in Shigatse in the evening and check in at the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay, preparing for the upcoming journey to Everest Base Camp.
After breakfast, begin the journey from Shigatse toward the Everest region.
The route follows the high-altitude roads of southern Tibet, passing through wide plateaus, mountain valleys, and remote villages. Along the way, cross Gyatso La Pass, the highest mountain pass on the route to Everest, where travelers can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayan range. Continue into the Mount Everest National Nature Reserve and experience the changing landscapes as the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, with snow-covered peaks and vast highland deserts appearing along the way.
Arrive near the Everest area and stay overnight at Ba Song Village, a more comfortable accommodation base compared with staying at Everest Base Camp itself, allowing better rest before the next day's Everest experience.
After breakfast, travel deeper into the Everest region for the highlight of the journey.
Drive through the famous mountain road section known as the 108 Bends, where the winding road crosses the dramatic Himalayan terrain and provides unforgettable views of the surrounding valleys. Continue to Gawula Mountain Pass, one of the best viewpoints in Tibet for seeing the Himalayan mountain range, where clear weather allows views of several world-famous peaks, including Mount Everest.
Continue to the Everest Scenic Area and take the environmentally friendly sightseeing vehicle to reach the Everest Base Camp viewpoint. Standing before the world's highest mountain, enjoy the magnificent scenery of Mount Everest, glaciers, and surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After sightseeing, return to Ba Song Village for a comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast, leave the Everest region and begin the return journey toward Shigatse.
The drive continues through the spectacular landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau, with opportunities to enjoy views of snow mountains, highland plains, rivers, and traditional villages along the way. The route offers a different perspective of Tibet, showing the vastness and diversity of the plateau environment beyond the famous attractions.
Arrive in Shigatse in the afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening after the Everest adventure.
After breakfast, drive back to Lhasa through the scenic landscapes of central Tibet.
Along the way, enjoy views of mountains, valleys, rivers, and open grasslands that showcase the unique beauty of the Tibetan Plateau.
Upon arrival in Lhasa, enjoy free time to explore the city at your own pace, visit local markets, purchase traditional handicrafts, or simply relax and experience the atmosphere of this high-altitude city. A farewell halal dinner can be arranged in the evening.
Enjoy a relaxed day in Lhasa before departure, allowing time to adjust to the high altitude and experience the city at a slower pace.
Explore Barkhor Street, one of Lhasa's most historic neighborhoods, where traditional streets, local shops, handicrafts, and everyday life create a unique atmosphere. Stroll through the old city area and discover Tibetan architecture, local markets, and the diverse cultural character of Lhasa.
Continue to explore Lhasa's Muslim community, including the historic Muslim quarter around the city center. Learn about the long-standing connection between Tibetan and Muslim communities, visit local halal food areas, and experience another side of Lhasa's multicultural heritage.
Depending on interests and departure schedules, additional activities can be arranged, such as visiting local parks, enjoying Tibetan tea culture, shopping for handicrafts, or relaxing before departure.
Enjoy a final halal meal in Lhasa before your onward journey.
After breakfast, enjoy free time depending on your departure schedule. Your guide will arrange the airport or train station transfer and assist with departure procedures.
The journey concludes with unforgettable memories of Tibet's Himalayan landscapes, high-altitude lakes, glaciers, and Mount Everest scenery.
